It's the Little Things

If you are anything like me, there is something inside of you that just needs to have something new every now and then.  Since starting on this journey of frugality, the new things have been farther and fewer between, but by no means does it mean I'm lacking anything.  Its just a daily choice to stay away from making the purchases that I just really don't need... and do you know what that does?  Makes me appreciate the small things even more!

I stopped by Pier One this afternoon (I've had a gift card from my hubby since valentines day... I've wanted new dishes but could never decide which ones... today I made a decision! Thank you baby!) But that is all besides the point. ;)

The point is that the gift card purchase didn't hurt my pocket book at all today and though I'm SUPER excited about my new dishes, I made an additional purchase that affected my "needs" budget this week by $3.98.  These amazing dish towels make me happy every time I see them!

Also one is solid green and one is striped... aren't they so cute?  I just got so excited about these, and it brings me back to my earlier post about thankfulness... Looking from the point of view that there is more than enough keeps us excited about the little things... I don't know about you, but that's where I want to live!!
