100% Pure Maple Syrup, 32 oz- $12.50 shipped!

Well yesterday I posted about Swagbucks and how a lot of times I'll buy things with the gift cards I've accumulated that don't usually have coupons like all natural or organic foods.  Well, I found a deal at Amazon that I couldn't say no too!

Through TODAY, October 31st, go HERE to find a 32 oz jug (or (2) 16 oz jugs) 100% pure organic maple syrup on sale and a great promotional code to go with it!  Here's how to get it.

  • Over on the right side of the page, click on "subscribe and save".  This is a way to have it automatically shipped to you at an increment of time that you choose.  (you can cancel this after you order if you want, but it will save you 15% each time you order)
  • Enter promotional code: BASCOM35 to get an additional 35% discount (expires today)
  • Click "sign me up" at bottom right hand of page (of course make sure if you have gift cards from swagbucks to enter them prior to ordering and they will automatically be used first)
  • If you want to cancel your subscribe and save, go to "your account" and then "manage your subscribe and save items"
My final price was just $12.50 shipped!  I got grade B, because I like its flavor more, but grade A was just a little over $13. That is a GREAT deal on pure maple syrup!!

Swagbucks- Saving up for Christmas!

I've posted about this a few times before, but since some of you are new, I wanted to post again.  If you haven't heard of Swagbucks, you are about to fall in love :)  Swagbucks is a search engine that you can use to search for sites you go to daily, and they reward you for using them.  Starting out, you usually average about 3 Swagbucks a day, and you can start earning more by just telling your friends about it! You can also earn them when you purchase things through certain websites (like Vistaprint), OR they also offer ways to get them through daily codes, etc.

Right now, my favorite way to redeem them is by turning in 45 Swagbucks for a $5 gift card to Amazon.com.  As I've mentioned before, I normally save them up and purchase things like organic foods that never have coupons.  What a great money saver!  You can also start earning Swagbucks to save up for a little extra spending money for Christmas!

They will start you off with 3 Swagbucks when you first sign up-  Click below to get started!

Tuesday's Timesaver- Piles of Clothes

So for today's timesaver tip, I have to bring up something that is a constant thorn in my side: Laundry.  The above picture isn't my laundry, but it might as well be!  We all do it.  Many of us hate it.  Between the sorting, washing, drying, folding and putting away, it never ends!  Well, I wish I had some great timesaver tips on laundry, but I don't... sorry to disappoint :)  (although I will say that having actual "laundry days" has helped tremendously).  What I do have is something related to all that laundry.  Maybe for many of you reading, this won't apply.  If you have little ones it might.  Or maybe I'm just reeeeeeally unorganized, LOL!

I have these piles going all the time: Goodwill, Consignment, Friends' Kid Clothes (that my girls wore), Clothes that my 5 year old grew out of and saving for my 3 year old, Seasonal Clothing, and of course the never ending Clean and Dirty piles.  Well with VERY limited storage in our 1970-something house, rubbermaids get us through a lot, but those piles tend to get mixed up very easily, especially since my 5 year old is constantly growing out of things.  So clothes get tossed in the wrong piles.. I'll go through them and get distracted and then my girls go through them.. finding old treasures and putting them on.  And then taking them off an hour later, only to go back and find another treasure.  It drives me CRAZY, and causes my dirty laundry pile to grow-- so then I'm washing things that shouldn't have been in the dirty clothes pile to begin with.

So all that to say, my friend Sheri from Sheri's Organized Life, has saved my life with one of her fabulous ideas.  Go HERE to check it out!! Now, I never forget to grab them on my way out the door and get them out of my life and out of my laundry pile, thus saving me time.  I have a few bags going, and it works great for me!

What do you do with all your clothes piles?

Monday's Meal Plan

It feels good to be back on schedule!  Monday's Meal Plan is actually happening on a Monday! :)  If this is your first time to join us on a Monday- welcome! Meal Planning really is a huge key to what I do to save money and time.  It keeps me at the grocery store just once during a week (most of the time) and I plan my meals around what I already have in my pantry and freezer, making my grocery shopping list fairly small and leaving room to "stockpile" those items that are at rock bottom prices using my coupons!

Monday: Steamed Artichokes with lemon butter, chicken and rice (didn't have last week.. and finally getting out to Trader Joes today for my artichokes! :)
Tuesday: Southwestern Egg Rolls (using chopped chicken and black beans from the freezer) and mexican fixins
Wednesday- Lasagna, garlic toast, salad
Thursday- Breakfast for dinner- Ham and Cheese Quiche (adding spinach) and fresh squeezed mandarin orange juice.. found them for $.99/bag on managers special at Kroger- they are SO sweet!
Friday- Grilled Chicken on Salad (marinated in lime juice, olive oil and the garlic wine seasoning I picked up at the Melting Pot- not the cheapest thing I've purchased in the 'spice' catagory, but SO good!)

Breakfasts- bagels, hot cereal and toast, banana muffins
Lunches- Bagel pizzas, ham sandwiches (using ham didn't use in quiche), chicken salad, pb & j's
