Homemade Snickerdoodles... A Bargain!!

How many of us have paid $1.50-$2 for a fresh baked cookie at a local bakery/bread shop?  I know I have!  How does $1.50-$2 sound for 3 dozen fresh baked cookies?

I added up cup by cup, tsp by tsp and these cookies cost me right at $1.50 to make... that's $.04 a cookie!  I got the eggs on manager's special and I was able to use a coupon for the sugar, but other than that, I paid normal prices for everything.

The best part is that you can freeze the dough and have fresh baked cookies anytime!  I usually split the dough into 3rds, bake 1/3 and freeze the rest like this:

Next time you want yummy cookies, just pull the dough out, let it thaw and bake! And of course I'll leave you with the recipe for my favorite Snickerdoodles in the whole world! Enjoy!
