Yes, its true.. our poor fridge is having some trouble. Thanks to our awesome friends that live down the street, we have been able to keep our cheese, sour cream, etc in their fridge until ours gets fixed (the service guy is supposed to come Tuesday afternoon). We thankfully have a small deep freezer that was able to hold everything that was rapidly melting. Some good news is that we recently discovered that our broken freezer is just cold enough to be considered a fridge so all the orange juice I bought on sale at Kroger Saturday night fits nicely and will be safe :)
Here's the meal plan! We have eaten out several times over the last few days because its so hard to store anything which is frustrating since we are having to spend outside of our normal budget. But this too shall pass AND God is in control!! We'll get back on track this week for sure. (and I'm not going to complain if I am FORCED to not cook, lol :) I am going to focus on making meals in sizes that we don't have any thing left over for the first few days... and I'm also keeping things easy for this week to keep my sanity. :) Hopefully by Wednesday, we'll be back on track!
Monday- Chicken Pot Pie (chicken pot pie base with a biscuit top), steamed broccoli
Tuesday-Spaghetti (using sauce from the freezer), garlic toast, cut up veggies
Wednesday- Roast, Potatoes, Carrots and homemade bread
Thursday- Tortilla Soup- (didn't have last week.. its a new recipe- I'll use chicken broth instead of vegetable broth and add chicken)
Friday- Homemade Pizza, veggies
Breakfast- Bagels from freezer (this recipe was awesome!), cereal, oatmeal
Lunches- Tomato/cheese sandwiches, bean burritos, quesadillas, leftover tortilla soup (can you tell we love mexican food?!)
